Vendor Sales Manager

Compensation $60,000 to $70,000 base + performance bonus (total comp $70,000 to $90,000) About Us We are a fast-growing company in the waste and environmental services industry. We operate in a high-volume, fast-paced environment where speed and reliability are everything. The Role We're looking for a Manager for our Vendor Sales to lead a team of 15 representatives responsible for securing vendor partnerships and fulfilling customer orders. This is primarily a leadership role. Your focus is coaching, driving performance, and building systems. But when a high-priority or difficult order hits and a provider isn't immediately available, you're willing to roll up your sleeves and get it done alongside your team. Your team is the engine behind every order we close. When a customer needs service, your people are on the phones locking in the right vendor at the right price, fast. There are daily quotas, tight timelines, and real urgency. You'll need to build a culture where your team thrives under that pressure. What You'll Own Full management of a team of 15+ vendor sales representatives, including coaching, development, and performance management Team quota attainment, ensuring every order is fulfilled on time and at target margins Building and maintaining strong relationships with service providers across the country Identifying gaps in coverage and proactively expanding our vendor network Hiring, onboarding, and ramping new reps as the team grows Building and refining the playbooks, scripts, and processes your team uses daily Monitoring KPIs and holding the team accountable to activity targets, response times, and cost benchmarks Identifying and resolving bottlenecks that slow down fulfillment Continuously improving workflows and response times across the team Collaborating with leadership on strategy, capacity planning, and vendor pricing trends What We're Looking For Inside sales experience is required. You need to understand the rhythm, pressure, and mechanics of a phone-based sales environment. 3+ years managing a high-output inside sales, call center, or procurement team (10+ direct reports preferred) Experience in a high-volume, transactional environment where speed matters. You've managed teams that are measured daily, not quarterly. A "figure it out" mentality. Comfortable operating in situations where not everything is structured and there isn't always a clear path. Proven ability to coach and develop reps, not just manage spreadsheets Ability to balance speed with accuracy across a high volume of daily transactions Comfortable building and iterating on processes in a growing company. Things change fast here. Strong with data. You use metrics to diagnose problems and drive decisions, not just report on them. Highly organized with strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills, especially under pressure Experience managing remote teams is strongly preferred Tech savvy. Comfortable learning new software quickly, troubleshooting basic tech issues for your team, and leveraging tools to improve efficiency across a remote workforce. What This Role Is Not This is not a slow-paced operations job. There are quotas, commissions, and urgency every day. This is not a role where you inherit a finished playbook.
