Description=========Position patient on examining table and place specified coil (receiver) such as head coil or knee coil close to area of interest, following protocols requested by RadiologistDemonstrate use of microphone that allows patient and technologist to communicate during examinationEnter data such as patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, orientation specified, and position of entry into aperture of MRI equipment into computerKey commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters and receivers into computerObserve patient through window of control room and on closed circuit TV to monitor safety and comfortView images of areas being scanned on video display screen to ensure quality of picturesKey in data on keyboard of camera to photograph imagesAlert staff entering magnet room to the danger of wearing or carrying metal around magnetOther duties as assignedSkills====1-3 years’ experience as MRI TechnicianCritical thinking skills, decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervisionExcellent communication skillsGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word and ExcelAbility to read and interpret documentsAbility to work independentlyEducation========Graduate of Accredited Radiology ProgramNJ State RT LicenseMR CertifiedBLS Certification
