Extensive travel is required. The Field QA/QC Tech will be responsible for implementing company’s Mission Critical HVAC Control QAQC plan, under supervision of the QAQC manager. This includes office-based analytical and reporting work, as well as traveling to any job site in the field to perform conformance checks and support.Key ResponsibilitiesReview DDC/PLC drawings for compliance with scope and sequence of operationsAssist in development and standardization of documentation aligned with ISO 9001Support implementation of standardized file systems and quality processesFacilitate QA/QC coordination across departmentsEvaluate job sites for compliance with quality standardsAct as company representative with customer and contractor quality teamsSupport commissioning, TAB activities, and project milestonesEnsure field teams are prepared for inspections and project delivery requirementsExecute detailed commissioning plans, including functional testing, sequence of operations, point-to-point verification, and system calibration for BMS systems with minimal supervision.Perform on-site commissioning activities, including wiring, termination, point-to-point verification, and system integration with other building systems (HVAC, lighting, security).Independently interpret blueprints and other technical documents.Perform functional testing of the specified sequence of operations to ensure proper operation of the control equipmentTroubleshooting to ensure proper performance of all field devices, controllers, and associated wiring.Collaborate with Lead Controls Technicians, Engineers, and customers to address concerns, clarify requirements, solve issues and facilitate smooth project completion.Required to work daily at the office in Irving when not traveling.Qualifications2+ years experience in installing, configuring, and commissioning BMS systems.In-depth knowledge of BMS protocols, hardware, software, and programming languages to troubleshoot complex system issues and coach more junior team members.3+ years of experience in QA/QC or related roles3+ years of experience working with ISO 9001 standardsStrong attention to detail and analytical skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and WordAbility to work independently in field and office environmentsHVAC automation experience preferredBIM software experience preferredPhysical RequirementsThis role requires frequent travel by plane or car to job sites, up to 50% of the time.Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout job sites for extended periodsAbility to climb ladders, stairs and lifts as required Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and work in tight or confined spacesAbility to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and materials up to 50 poundsManual dexterity to handle tools, wiring, and small componentsAbility to work at heights and in varying indoor and outdoor conditionsVisual keenness to read schematics, labels, and digital displaysAbility to hear and respond to alarms, equipment sounds, and verbal instructionsCapability to safely operate hand and power tools
