At Citi, you'll have the opportunity to grow your career, give back to your community and make a real impact.Job OverviewThe Retail Area Group Manager is a senior-level management position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees and growing sales and client base in coordination with the Consumer Sales team. The overall objective of this role is to lead a team, grow sales, build customer loyalty and recommend the development of business strategies or initiatives. Responsibilities may also include the management of activities by external organizations and the direct management of individuals and sales teams.Oversee branch operational and service performance by analyzing performance data, developing and executing action plans, communicating and managing performance expectations and facilitating development planningProvide leadership, coaching and direction to all levels of branch and area staff, concentrating on branch visits and area level meetings to drive individual and branch success and balance in results between client advocacy, sales and operational excellence (including operational risk)Partner with segment market managers to drive synergies, review sales pipelines and coordinate priorities/focus areas for branchesIdentify, source and develop talent, coach branch managers and their teams to leverage Citi's lead management system and other lead generation techniques (e.g., referrals, community outreach) and encouraging participationWork with various function Managers to drive sales activities by analyzing client and market data to identify potential sales and services opportunities and build partnerships in the communityIntegrate, prioritize and manage promotional campaigns across segment and product lines and embed the principles behind the compensation program to ensure the motivation of the right behaviors and business deliveryAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.Qualifications10+ years of relevant experienceExperience in retail banking, sales management and leading remote teams in a matrix organizationProven success in sales, service, operations and employee retentionProven leadership, interpersonal, prioritization and organization skillsConsistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication with ability to actively listenProven ability to respond to organizational, business and regulatory changes, inspire others and exhibit flexibility and self-motivationEducationBachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster's degree preferredJob Family Group:Consumer SalesJob Family:Branch SalesTime Type:Full timePrimary Location:New York New York United StatesPrimary Location Full Time Salary Range:$139,040.00 - $208,560.00In addition to salary, Citi's offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
