Senior Buyer- ConstructionLHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Buyer with at least 3 years of experience working in a similar role. This is a Temp to Perm opportunity within the Commercial Construction industry, located in Baltic, CT.Responsibilities:Identify, source, and secure construction materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements and cost targetsPrepare, issue, and oversee purchase orders, subcontracts, and vendor agreements throughout the procurement processRequest and review bids and pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive selectionCoordinate delivery timelines to make sure materials arrive on schedule and support project timelinesBuild and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and partnersEvaluate and prequalify vendors based on financial health, safety standards, and past performanceLead negotiations around pricing, contract terms, and scope to drive cost efficiency and value engineering opportunitiesMonitor market conditions and pricing trends to support strategic purchasing decisionsPartner with estimating and project teams to ensure procurement aligns with overall budget goalsTrack committed spending against project budgets and highlight potential overages, risks, or savings opportunitiesCollaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Estimators to fully understand project needsAlign purchasing timelines with construction schedules to avoid delaysAddress and resolve material shortages or supply chain challenges in a timely, proactive mannerEnsure all purchasing activities follow internal policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulationsMaintain organized and accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and vendor filesAssist with reporting requirements and provide documentation support during auditsExperience:Minimum 3-5 years of Buying experience, preferably within Construction industryWork Site: OnsiteEmployment Type: Temp to PermSalary: $35-44/hrEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to
