Manufacturing Technician - 12 hour rotating Day shifts

The accrual rate increases at 5 years of service, and 10 years of service.The 1st of the month following your 90th day of employment, you will be eligible to enroll in our 401k plan offered thru John Hancock.Free Virtual Doctor appointments with Ally Health.Responsibilities:Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performancePerform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machineryFollow production schedules and meet quality standardsCollaborate with team members to improve production processesMaintain accurate records of production data and equipment maintenanceAdhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environmentAssist in training new employees in manufacturing proceduresMaintains an understanding of the different types of raw materials and the appropriate manufacturing location where they should be utilizedCheck the quality of productsExamines, measures, and weighs materials or productsInforms the shift supervisor about product quality problems, equipment problems and safety concernsAny other duties that the Company in its sole discretion may assign as neededSkills/Abilities Needed:Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints, preferredExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesWillingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if necessaryAbility to troubleshoot and multitaskBasic mathematic skillsTeam player who is reliable and trustworthyMaintains a clean and safe work areaVerbal and written communication skills in EnglishTime management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent; requiredTechnical degree or certification, preferredExperience with 5s, preferredPrevious experience in a manufacturing or production environment +1 year, requiredExperience as a machine mechanic, preferredSome electrical, preferredOverhead crane, preferredQuality control experience, preferredForklift experience, requiredPhysical Requirements:Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 poundsThis position requires, but is not limited to, standing, walking, utilizing stairs or ladders, driving automatic forklift, climbing, squatting, stooping, twisting, bending, grabbing and graspingMust be able to work in a non-controlled environment
