AI Test Engineer – Playwright/Selenium *Experience:* 8+ Years *Job Type:* Contract *Location:* Sunnyvale, CA *Rate: Max* $55(DoE) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced *AI Test Engineer / Quality Engineer* with strong expertise in *test automation, Playwright/Selenium, and Generative AI-powered testing*. The ideal candidate will have *8+ years of overall IT experience*, including *5+ years in automation testing* and hands-on exposure to *AI/Generative AI technologies and AI-assisted quality engineering*. This role will focus on building scalable automation solutions, leveraging AI to improve test generation and validation, and driving modern quality engineering practices across enterprise applications. Required Experience * *8+ years* of overall IT experience. * *5+ years* of experience in Quality Engineering and Test Automation. * Experience working with *AI/Generative AI technologies*, preferably within testing, quality engineering, or software development environments. * Strong hands-on experience with *Playwright and/or Selenium*. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain scalable *UI and end-to-end test automation frameworks* using Playwright and/or Selenium. * Implement *Generative AI-powered testing* and AI-assisted quality engineering solutions to improve test coverage, efficiency, and productivity. * Leverage tools such as *GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini*, or similar AI platforms for test development and quality engineering activities. * Apply concepts including *Agentic AI, Prompt Engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Evaluation, and AI Quality Assurance*. * Design and implement *AI-driven test generation, validation, optimization, and defect-analysis solutions*. * Develop and maintain *API automation tests* using Rest Assured, Postman, or similar tools. * Integrate automated test suites into *CI/CD pipelines* using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms. * Develop automation solutions using *Java, Python, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript*. * Analyze test results, identify defects and quality risks, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues. * Work effectively within *Agile and DevOps environments* throughout the software development lifecycle. * Mentor junior engineers and promote automation standards, reusable frameworks, and *AI-led testing best practices*. * Identify opportunities to leverage AI for improved *test coverage, test creation, validation, productivity, and overall software quality*. * Collaborate with *offshore teams in India* and other distributed global engineering teams.
