Fiber Optic Splicer - Austin, TXWe are seeking a Fiber Optic Splicer based in the Austin, TX area to support field operations from the ground up. This role reports to the Fiber Splicing Manager and offers an excellent opportunity to join a growing team, gain hands-on experience, and advance your career in telecommunications.ResponsibilitiesWork with clients to plan installations, including aerial and underground cabling, and pull fiber through conduitsFollow blueprints and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installationProvide detailed production forecasts and status updates to project management teamsMaintain accurate production data and progress tracking in internal project management systemsTroubleshoot issues on existing network lines and provide 24/7 emergency response support as neededMaintain all equipment in proper working condition and report malfunctionsCalibrate and maintain splicing equipment and toolsDocument installations, splicing activity, and test resultsEnsure compliance with health and safety standards, including state, local, DOT, and OSHA requirementsCoordinate with permitting agencies, inspectors, and other stakeholdersPerform preventive and emergency maintenance on network infrastructure, including utility locates, route inspections, damage prevention, and repairsAssist customers with new service setup and coordinate with construction crewsUse testing equipment to verify fiber integrity and performanceDiagnose and repair signal loss and cable damage issuesMaintain proper traffic control and job site safety while working efficientlyBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insuranceWork Location: In person.
