Bookkeeper

Norcal Pool Construction, Inc. is a swimming pool construction company headquartered in San Jose, CA. We service all of the Bay Area, Sacramento, and Central Valley area. We have yards in San Jose, Stockton, Modesto, Fresno, Rio Linda, and Santa Rosa. We are professional, agile, fast-paced subcontractor and our goal is to service contractors in the construction of residential and commercial swimming pools. Position Overview: As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing our financial transactions, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts. Your role is crucial to maintaining the financial health of our company. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and send invoices, track payments, and follow up on receivables. Process and manage accounts receivable and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures. Process and manage accounts payable including statement reconciliation. Process and manage payroll, using Paychex if needed Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies. Assist in preparing financial reports for management. Maintain organized financial records. Assist with month-end closing and general bookkeeping tasks. Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations. Support administrative tasks and special projects as needed. Requirements: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Paychex, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Knowledge of governmental accounting regulations is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Education High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred. Why to Join us?
