Repair malfunctioning components, retrofit engines, change brakes, adjust steering systems, replace worn-out parts, and change hydraulic fluids.ResponsibilitiesInput daily repair reports into software-based tracking programUse a wide variety of hand and power tools, cutting torches and welding equipmentDiagnose, service and repair various systems that are found on pieces of heavy equipment such as mechanical and computer electronic controls, air brake systems, transmissions, computer controlled automatic and manual transmissions, and pneumatic systemsParticipate in the review of some operational and mechanical safety related issues associated with the fleet includingPerform routine preventative maintenance such as lubricating, oil changes, and failure analysisPerform routine brake inspections/ adjustments on commercial vehicles following Federal DOT requirementsCreate work orders on repairs and services providing legible and accurate information for work performedCommunicate with drivers and managers to ensure adherence to preventative vehicle maintenance policies and practicesOrder parts from approved vendors and drive Company pick-up/repair truck to pick up parts when neededQualificationsExperience performing PM related servicesValid driver's license: CDL Preferred (Will Train)High school diploma or GED equivalent preferredExperience in diagnosing and repairing light, medium and heavy-duty trucks (A Plus)Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening required by DOTWhy Join UsWork on industry-leading Isuzu and Hino trucks.Manufacturer training and certification opportunities.Clear careerpath and long-term-on-the-job training.Stable, well-equipped shop environment.Supportive team culture focused on safety, training, and growth. xhyhwjd We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
