Machine Operator
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of industrial machinery to produce high-quality components and products. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, adherence to safety standards, and precise measurements. Responsibilities
Set up and operate various manufacturing machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and flexo presses to produce parts according to specifications.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
Program and troubleshoot CNC equipment using CAM programming, CNC programming languages, Fanuc controls, and other industrial automation tools.
Conduct precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and other precision measuring instruments; interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications for quality assurance.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Operate forklifts and handle materials safely within the production area; manage materials handling and packaging of finished products.
Follow safety standards in production environments, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
Skills
Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes including CNC programming, CAM programming, and operation of CNC milling machines and CNC lathes.
Experience with Fanuc controls and interpreting mechanical blueprints for fabrication or assembly tasks.
Proficiency in operating various shop tools such as calipers, micrometers, hand tools, and tooling equipment.
Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret manufacturing specifications.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment effectively.
Familiarity with factory safety standards, quality control procedures, and dimensional measurement techniques like GD&T.
Hands-on experience with fabrication processes including stamping presses, press brake machines, and materials handling equipment such as forklifts.
Basic math skills for shop calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and production documentation.
