Job Summary
We are seeking an Intermediate Structural Designer to join a collaborative design team supporting advanced technology and industrial facility projects, including semiconductor manufacturing environments. This role is responsible for developing structural design concepts and producing high-quality 2D and 3D design deliverables using Revit and related drafting tools. The ideal candidate will have experience creating structural models and construction documentation for steel and concrete structures while working closely with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to complex, fast‑paced projects in a highly technical environment while continuing to grow design, coordination, and BIM‑related skills. Candidates should be detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and capable of independently managing assigned tasks within defined project scope and standards.
This is a hybrid position based in Tempe, Arizona, requiring candidates to reside within commuting distance of the office and work onsite at least two days per week.
Responsibilities
Develop 3D structural models using Revit and related design software
Produce structural drawings, plans, and detailed design deliverables for assigned project scope
Support structural design efforts for advanced technology and industrial facility projects
Apply department and client drafting standards consistently across project deliverables
Review and verify the completeness and accuracy of work prior to submission
Coordinate design activities with engineering and multidisciplinary project teams
Participate in BIM coordination, QA/QC reviews, and project collaboration processes
Execute assigned tasks independently after receiving initial project direction
Communicate effectively with team members to clarify project scope, standards, and requirements
Contribute to team execution and support collaborative project delivery efforts
Support the advancement of design automation workflows and emerging technologies
Maintain strong attention to detail while managing workload and project commitments
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Completed coursework in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design
Minimum of 2 years of drafting/design experience within the structural engineering field
Minimum of 1 year of Revit experience
Experience producing structural drawings and models for steel and concrete structures
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality deliverables
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting or a related field
3+ years of Revit experience
Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam
Experience supporting industrial or semiconductor facility projects
Familiarity with BIM coordination processes and multidisciplinary project environments
