Mechanic

We are looking to add a full time position to our growing diesel repair facility located in Galesburg Michigan. We service the Kalamazoo, Battle Creek and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will be an experienced heavy duty diesel mechanic that is a quick thinker, can work as a team, as well as independently. The position will be for in shop or at the customers location. We will consider applications on all skill levels. Certifications and CDL preferred. Pay is based on experience and what skill set you can bring to our team. Vacation pay, paid holidays, overtime as well as bonus pay for after hours road service is available. Flexible schedule Professional development assistance Paid time off Potential for a company vehicle Qualifications: Diesel Mechanic: 1 year (Preferred) Running diagnostic tests on vehicles. Analyzing diagnostic test results. Diagnose and repair vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems. Checking vehicle lighting systems. Test driving vehicles to gauge performance. Performing preventative maintenance on light and heavy duty vehicles. Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles. Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist. Maintaining a parts inventory. Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop. Must work well with others as well and independently with minimal supervision. Ability to multitask Ability to perform off-site repairs with a company service truck (bonus pay) Flexibility on day to day jobs and ability to prioritize urgency Basic computer skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $38.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Benefits: Paid time off Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
