Position Summary: The physician assistant (PA), under the direction of a supervising physician, will function as an independent healthcare provider working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care in a variety of settings (primary, acute, specialty) while demonstrating a high degree of clinical expertise. Provides direct individualized patient care and treatment with responsibility for assessing, examining, diagnosing and analyzing the patient's current health condition and developing short and long-term goals and treatment plans. Functions within the defined scope of clinical practice as outlined by applicable state law, licensing, certification, regulations, institutional policy and practice agreements.
