Gifted Education ParaprofessionalLocation: Baldwin and Wellsville School DistrictsSchedule:Full-time]Reports To: Gifted Education Teacher / Building Administrators/ECKCE AdministrationPosition SummaryThe Gifted Education Paraprofessional supports gifted students by assisting with instruction, materials preparation, and program organization. Working under the guidance and supervision of a licensed gifted education teacher, the paraprofessional helps implement lessons, supports student learning activities, and assists with clerical and organizational tasks related to gifted services.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide instructional support to gifted students in individual or small-group settings under the direction of the gifted education teacherAssist with implementing enrichment activities and differentiated learning experiencesPrepare instructional materials, resources, and classroom suppliesSupport students during lessons by reinforcing concepts and encouraging engagementAssist with documentation, data collection, and organization of paperwork related to gifted servicesHelp maintain student records and program materialsCollaborate with the gifted education teacher and other staff as neededPerform other duties as assigned to support the gifted education programQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or college coursework preferredExperience working with children in an educational setting preferredAbility to follow instructional plans and guidance provided by a licensed teacherStrong organizational skills and attention to detailPositive communication and collaboration skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesInterest in working with gifted and high-ability learnersAbility to support differentiated instruction and enrichment activitiesBasic computer skills for documentation and material preparationFlexibility and willingness to learn new practicesWork EnvironmentThis position works in classroom and small-group settings and may require movement between buildings, classrooms and districts.
