SQL Database Engineer

Overview In this role you will design, optimize, and manage SQL-based data solutions to support Pershing-X initiatives. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to model data, ensure quality, and enable scalable performance. You will translate complex requirements into reliable data architectures and migrations, delivering timely, high-quality results in a hybrid environment. ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement and manage SQL queries for multiple stakeholdersDetect and resolve data quality and integrity issuesEnhance or create logical and physical data models with standardsApply data modelling to meet performance expectationsTest and debug deliverables to ensure proper functionDevelop data mappings from existing systems to new structuresExperience in data migration using industry standard toolsSQL tuning and optimization using explain plan and trace filesPartitioning and indexing strategy for performanceCollaborate with business stakeholders and Agile teams on design, definition, documentation, and implementation Key requirements5+ years of experience with different database technologiesStrong hands-on knowledge of SQLData modelling techniques to ensure performanceRun query plans, query tuning, and schema refinementExperience with database migrations and building database scriptsWork with change and release management teamsCI/CD experience and Liquibase is a plusCloud platform experience (Snowflake) is a plusStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work with minimal guidance in time-critical environmentsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and presentation skillsSelf-starter with ambition and continuous learning mindsetSQLData modellingData mapping
