HRMS Manager (Workday)Position OverviewWe are seeking a process-driven, hands-on HRMS Manager to own and optimize a recently implemented Workday HRMS environment within a fast-growing, multi-entity organization. This role will focus heavily on post-implementation stabilization, system governance, and process refinement, with a longer-term emphasis on optimization and expansion of platform capabilities in future phases.The ideal candidate thrives in complex, evolving environments and enjoys bringing structure, clarity, and consistency to systems and processes that are still maturing. This is a high-impact role that partners closely with HR, Payroll, IT, and operational leaders to ensure the HR technology ecosystem effectively supports business growth and workforce needs.Key ResponsibilitiesWorkday Ownership & AdministrationServe as the primary system owner and administrator for Workday Manage day-to-day configuration, business processes, security roles, and system maintenanceEnsure data integrity, governance, and compliance across the HRMS environmentTroubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolution across HR, IT, Payroll, and external partnersMaintain documentation, workflows, and standard operating proceduresAct as the primary SME and escalation point for Workday-related needsStabilization & Continuous ImprovementLead post-implementation stabilization efforts including issue resolution, data cleanup, and process consistencyEvaluate existing configurations and identify opportunities for simplification and standardizationBalance urgent operational needs with long-term system scalability and optimizationEstablish governance, structure, and prioritization frameworks in a fast-moving environmentIntegrations & Systems CoordinationSupport and monitor integrations across payroll, benefits, IT systems, and other business platformsPartner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accurate and reliable data flowsTroubleshoot integration issues and support API-based system connectionsEnsure consistency and accuracy of data movement across downstream systemsReporting & AnalyticsDevelop and maintain HR reports, dashboards, and system insights to support decision-makingImprove visibility into workforce data across the employee lifecycleSupport data analysis needs in partnership with HR and business stakeholdersTraining & Stakeholder SupportProvide training and ongoing support for HR and business usersTranslate technical system functionality into clear, actionable guidancePartner cross-functionally to improve adoption and user experienceSupport and mentor junior HRIS/HR team members as applicableWhat You’ll BringRequired Experience6+ years of hands-on experience supporting HRIS/HRMS platforms, with strong Workday expertiseDeep experience in Core HCM and business process configurationStrong understanding of security administration, role-based access, and system governanceExperience supporting integrations across HR, payroll, and related systemsProven ability to operate in complex, high-growth, or multi-entity environmentsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in fast-paced settingsPreferred ExperienceExposure across multiple Workday modules (Talent, Compensation, Recruiting, Learning, etc.)Experience supporting field-based or distributed workforcesExperience working with complex workforce populations, including unionized environments and multiple collective bargaining agreementsFamiliarity with reporting tools, dashboards, or analytics platforms (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL)Experience in highly integrated HR technology ecosystemsSuccess in This Role Looks LikeStabilizing and strengthening a recently implemented Workday environmentImproving data accuracy, system reliability, and user confidenceEstablishing clear governance, structure, and prioritization within HR systems workEffectively balancing tactical issue resolution with long-term optimization initiativesServing as a trusted cross-functional partner across HR, Payroll, IT, and business leadershipAdditional DetailsHybrid schedule with initial onsite onboarding period followed by flexible hybrid arrangementHighly collaborative, fast-paced, and evolving environmentSignificant opportunity to shape how HR technology supports ongoing business growth and transformationCompensation & BenefitsBase salary range: $110,000 – $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications.In addition to base compensation, employees are eligible for:Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Annual profit-sharing contributions (typically 10-12% target, subject to company performance)Comprehensive health benefits with 100% employer-paid medical premiums for employees and families401(k) plan with company matchPaid time off and additional employee-focused benefitsThis organization operates under an employee ownership model with a strong long-term focus on wealth building and retention.
