Your role involves market research, business development, and maintaining a profitable book of insurance business for existing clients.GLIMPSE INTO YOUR DAYContact current, past, and potential clients to solicit new and renewed business.Follow up on leads and respond promptly and efficiently to referrals.Listen attentively to client needs and make appropriate insurance recommendations.Request referrals from current insurance clients.Create and maintain accurate, up-to-date client lists and provide tailored insurance information.Design custom insurance plans and recommend appropriate coverage.Survey loss exposures, needs, and possible uninsurable exposures.Pre-qualify insurance prospects for insurability and risk quality.Educate clients on agency payment expectations and cancellation procedures.Collect premiums and past-due premiums, obtain signatures on applications.Provide documentation and information for client record-keeping.Create letters offering coverage and share insurance advice.Prepare summaries, schedules, and proposals for insurance plans.Review policy audits for accuracy.Facilitate necessary corrections between client and carrier.Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives and Managers to review coverage, upgrade accounts, and remarket when possible.Collect client information to prepare policy schedules and renewal proposals.Review policy change requests and other account activity.Document automated files as appropriate.Participate in marketing events, seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing activities.Read and interpret technical manuals and insurance information from carriers, vendors, and publishers.Prepare status reports on activity, closings, follow-up, and goal adherence.Document coverage details and binding restrictions to reduce errors and commission exposures.Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLEProperty and Casualty Insurance License and/or Personal Lines Insurance License (required and must be maintained).College degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline (preferred).3 to 5 years of sales experience in the insurance industry (preferred).Experience with complex personal lines coverage.Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).Computer literacy and ability to learn new software applications.Valid driver's license, ability to travel to client sites, and reliable transportation.WHY CHOOSE RELATION?Competitive pay.Safe and healthy work environment with a robust benefits program, including family health and wellness programs, 401(k), employee assistance programs, paid time off, paid holidays, and more.Career advancement and development opportunities.Paid training and continuing education to obtain/maintain your insurance license.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY STATEMENTRelation Insurance Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
