Lathed / CNC MachinistWe are now hiring a Lathed / CNC Machinist for a great manufacturer of custom machinery for production of corn and flour tortillas in Pomona. Pay Rate: $22/hr. Schedule: Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pmJob Duties:Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan the best process for machiningCompute dimensions and tolerances from conventional blueprints and CAD drawings using Mastercam and be able to design in Mastercam and be proficient in Four Axis programmingWrite programs for a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines to produce precision partsEnsure dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications by verifying with the machine operatorProvide set-up drawings and tool lists for machine tool operatorsSolid Works or Solid Edge is a plus and/or willingness to learn Solid EdgeRequirements:1-2 years experience in Lathe MachinistHigh school diploma or equivalent required1-2 years CNC Machinist ExperienceMath SkillsDetail OrientedAbility to read blue prints and follow basic directionsPossess effective organization and time management skills, be detail oriented, use good judgment, and manage competing priorities for multiple projects and consistently meet all deadlines
