The right candidate has excellent communication skills and experience in geriatrics, recreation, or social administrationAll creative professionals are welcome to apply!BenefitsCompetitive PayFlexible Working HoursHealth InsurancePTO & Sick Leave401(K)ResponsibilitiesWorks to plan, coordinate and lead a wide scope of social and recreational activities with the intent of including all residents in some area of activity.Assists in arranging transportation to events and programs when necessary, including bus transportation and other vehicle transportation, scheduling community driver or outside resourceCreates, posts, and/or distributes information and material regarding events, programs, activities, etc.Assists with purchasing necessary supplies, films, crafts, etc.Conducts an orientation for new residents, serves as a resource person for residentsAlerts staff of concerns pertaining to residentsPlans and coordinates activities in absence of the Resident Engagement DirectorQualificationsAssociates degree or two years experience in geriatrics, recreation or social administrationAbility to communicate effectively and perform simple arithmetic Must be able to work with others in setting up for eventsMust be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
