The employee installs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and verifies performance of most classes of clinical equipment and/or supervises the work of others completing these tasks. The Team Lead serves as technical advisor to the medical and clinical staff in the safe operation and proper use of clinical equipment and assists in developing specifications for selection of new items of clinical equipment. The individual is responsible for the safety, performance and calibration of clinical equipment involved in patient care. The individual demonstrates adherence to the TriMedx core values in all professional interactions by showing respect to all people, creating real value, initiating meaningful change, and exhibiting integrity.ResponsibilitiesEnsures personnel maintain, operate, test, inspect and perform preventative maintenance checks and repair medical electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment. Serves as a resource to employees and customers. Evaluates service processes to continually ensure equipment is maintained in a safe, timely and cost effective manner. Communicates equipment purchases, preventative maintenance and repairs. Operates patient safety equipment and understands data. Performs equipment repairs and preventative maintenance checks on all equipment. Submits reports, purchase orders and records. Operates computer and uses network software. Arranges and conducts in-services QualificationsMinimum RequirementsEducation: Associates Degree in biomedical equipment technology or electronics or equivalent training and experience Experience: 5+ years of progressive responsibility in multiple clinical areas and/or multiple modalities Preferred RequirementsLicensure/Certifications: BMET Certification 7+ years of progressive responsibility.Organization DescriptionEstablished in 1961, St. Josephs Hospital in Tucson is home to the Carondelet Neurological Institute and the Carondelet Joint Replacement Center.
