Every current principal started as an associate.What You'll DoHandle a full caseload of civil defense matters — construction, premises liability, personal injury defense, professional liability, civil rights, and insurance defenseWork directly with firm principals on case strategy, motions practice, depositions, and trial preparationDraft discovery, dispositive motions, and pre-trial pleadings across multiple active filesTake and defend depositions and appear in state and federal court hearingsParticipate in firm-sponsored continuing education, including the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers Trial Academy and IADC programsWhat We're Looking For3–6 years of civil defense litigation experience (required)Active Missouri Bar license (required); Illinois bar admission is a plusConstruction law experience is a meaningful differentiatorComfort managing a real caseload with billable targets of 165–200 hours/monthCollaborative, team-oriented attorney who wants to grow in a firm, not just through itIMPORTANT TO KNOWPrimarily in-office in downtown St. Louis (5 days to start; flexibility as you integrate). Year-end bonus: $3K–$20K based on billables. Annual profit share: 1–3%. 401(k) with 3% match. Health insurance, firm-issued laptop, free parking.
