Job description:We are seeking a highly skilled z/OS System Administrator with deep technical expertise in IBM z/OS environments (2.2, 2.3) to support, maintain, and enhance enterprise mainframe systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in system builds, version upgrades, performance tuning, and Parallel Sysplex configuration.Location: Plano, TX (Remote)Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support IBM z/OS operating systems (OS 2.2, 2.3)Design, build, and configure LPAR environments within the mainframe infrastructurePerform z/OS version upgrades, installation of patches, and maintenance fixesInstall and maintain ISV (Independent Software Vendor) productsConfigure and manage z/OSMF (z/OS Management Facility)Maintain system parameters and PARMLIB membersImplement and monitor Workload Manager (WLM), RMF, and SMF settings for optimal performanceTroubleshoot and resolve z/OS-related incidents and performance issuesParticipate in Parallel Sysplex setup, tuning, and operational supportGenerate system performance reports and proactively recommend improvementsRequired Skills & Experience9+ years of experience in z/OS systems administrationStrong understanding of System z architectureHands-on experience with Parallel Sysplex, SMPE, RMF, SMF, WLMProven expertise in z/OSMF configuration and system builds/upgradesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and handle production-critical tasksBill rate: $65-$70/hr on CTCJob Type: ContractWork Location: Remote
