Job DetailsDescriptionJob Summary:Bongards’ Creameries is seeking a Day Shift Maintenance Mechanic based out of our Humboldt facility. The maintenance mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing cheese-making machinery in a high-speed production environment. Responsibilities also include installing and modifying related systems in the facility as a whole.Duties And ResponsibilitiesInspect and diagnose equipment in a safe and efficient mannerPerform preventative maintenance on conveyors, wrappers, packaging equipment, AGV, GIA, FANUC RobotsFind root cause in defective equipmentInstall parts (new or refurbished) on various types of equipmentAble to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electronic equipment (24v DC, 120v AC to 480v 3phase AC) Record repairs made and inventory usedClean and lubricate moving components Performs work on machines according to Preventative Maintenance ScheduleMaintains detailed log of work completed, materials used, time spent, etc.Must report all Food Safety and quality concerns to immediate supervisor or designated replacementMust be comfortable to work indoor/outdoor, cold/warm environments, crawl spaces and elevated areasOther duties as assignedSkills And QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentExcellent Math and Reading skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong interpersonal, organizational and communication skillsElectrical experience with 24v DC, and 120vAC up to 480V 3 phase highly desiredStrong mechanical aptitudeKnowledge of Ladder Logic, Allen Bradley PLCsKnowledge of SchematicsKnowledge of LOTO ProceduresAbility to work independentlyAbility to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlinesPrevious maintenance experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferredMust adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, other quality guidelinesMust report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or designated replacementMust be able to lift up to 55 lbsAbility to spend long periods of time standingScheduleDay Shift 6:00am to 6:00pm Following the 2-2-3 scheduleBenefitsMedical – Prescription Drug – Dental – VisionPaid time off (PTO)401(k) with company matchDisability, life and voluntary insuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramProfit SharingInternal Career OpportunitiesBongards Creameries is a member owned COOP that has been operating since 1908.
