Imagery Scientist – SAR Senior

Position OverviewThe Imagery Scientist – SAR Senior supports SAR exploitation activities through operational analysis, imagery quality assessment, and mission-focused analytical support. The candidate will contribute to the evaluation and application of SAR imagery products and provide technical expertise supporting mission operations and stakeholder engagement.Required QualificationsMinimum of four (4) years of experience working with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery and exploitation methodologiesUnderstanding of SAR collection techniques, phenomenology, image formation processes, and exploitation productsExperience assessing SAR imagery quality metrics and sensor metadataExperience exploiting SAR imagery to determine the occurrence and location of Objects of Interest (OOIs)Ability to communicate SAR capabilities and operational applications to technical and non-technical audiencesUnderstanding of remote sensing principles, imagery processing techniques, and advanced exploitation methodologiesDesired QualificationsExperience applying computer vision (CV), artificial intelligence (AI), or machine learning (ML) techniques to SAR imagery analysis
