They have raised $30M+, including a $25M Series A led by a16z, with Y Combinator, Nexus, South Park Commons, and Converge behind them.The roleYou will own and scale the entire AI organization, the team building production LLM-powered agents that run on real customer money. Both founders are engineers, so you get an outsized say on product direction while building your team from the ground up, with a path to VP-level leadership as the company scales.What you will doOwn and grow the AI org, scaling it into three teams: AI infrastructure (routing and reliability), agent intelligence (evals, shared tools, multimodal pipelines), and agentic products (customer-facing assistant, long-running workflows)Set technical direction for agents that hold up in real production, including model routing, multi-agent orchestration, and reliabilityRecruit, mentor, and retain a world-class team of AI engineers, hiring the leaders beneath you as the org scales post Series AStay deeply technical, still in the code and the architecture, setting the bar by examplePush the frontier of what AI agents can do for insurance as the field evolvesWhat we are looking for7+ years in AI/ML engineering, including managing engineers at a strong technical companyLed an AI/ML team that shipped production LLM or agent systemsBuilt and scaled an engineering team of 10+ while staying hands-onDepth in agentic architectures: tool use, planning, multi-agent orchestration, and evalsExperience with model routing, reliability, and multimodal pipelinesA clear, concise communicator who is a genuine recruiting magnetBonus pointsExperience at an early-stage or high-growth B2B SaaS startupCS or related technical degree from a top-tier programFounder or founding-team backgroundCompensation and benefits$300K-$450K base, with flexibility for exceptional candidatesCompetitive equityRelocation support up to $20,000Visa sponsorship available, including new H-1B and TNLocationOn-site in San Francisco, 5 days a week.
