Registered Nurse - Long Term Care (LTC)

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our long-term care team. As an integral part of our healthcare facility, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to our residents and ensuring their well-being. Key Responsibilities:Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents, including assessments, medication administration, wound care, and symptom management.Care Planning: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, addressing their physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.Monitoring: Regularly assess residents' conditions and respond promptly to any changes, ensuring their comfort and safety.Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident assessments, care provided, and progress towards goals in compliance with regulatory standards.Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, while adhering to medication safety protocols.Education: Educate residents and their families about health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care.Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in long-term care.Emotional Support: Offer emotional support to residents and their families, fostering a compassionate and empathetic environment.Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies, including initiating CPR and notifying appropriate personnel. Qualifications:Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice.Minimum 1yr recent experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on facility policy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
