Founded in May 2021 and located in downtown Mountain View, KDB Silicon Valley LLC commenced its operations in November 2021. We focus on early-stage, cross-sector investments. Additionally, we allocate capital to other VC funds as LP investments.
Job Description
KDB Silicon Valley LLC is seeking an Accounting & Risk Manager at our Mountain View, CA location. As a key member of our team, this position will be responsible for accounting and risk management, middle/back-office system management, HQ communication, etc.
Location: On-site at Mountain View office
Start Date: Coordination
Compensation: USD 80,000 ~180,000 (Commensurate with experience, market competitive)
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations and supporting documentation
Liaise with external auditors throughout year-end financial statement audits
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for the company, including annual budget planning, periodic reforecast, variance analysis, and management reporting to senior leadership
Provide ad-hoc financial management reports as needed
Coordinate and manage all interactions with external tax advisors, including preparation and review of corporate tax returns and estimated tax calculations
Manage the company's financial activities including fund transfers and payments
Engage in active communications with KDB HQ's Financial Planning, Risk Management and submit required reporting accordingly
Lead quarterly and annual valuation processes for the portfolio, including collection and validation of inputs, selection and application of appropriate valuation methodologies, and documentation. xywuqvp
Maintain accounting, budget and risk management policies and procedures
Assist with quarterly, semi-annual, and annual audits
Coordinate, plan, and lead IT activities including HQ software management or selection for fund management and CRM
Additional office duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bilingual highly preferred - English and Korean (native)
Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a relevant major
Solid understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
Experience in accounting/risk management ideally in finance or investment environment (Open to Junior candidates)
CPA highly preferred
Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
