Material Systems Process Engineer
The Logistics & Material Systems Process Engineer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of material storage and material flow systems throughout the manufacturing facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient movement of materials from receiving through production and ultimately to shipping operations.
*Travel Requirements:* As needed to support plant launches, benchmarking activities, and implementation projects.
*Work Environment & Scope*
The LMS Process Engineer is responsible for evaluating and optimizing all aspects of material handling and logistics operations throughout the manufacturing facility. Areas of focus include:
* Receiving operations
* Material storage systems
* Production staging areas
* Line-side delivery processes
* Repackaging operations
* Empty container management
* Floor space utilization
* Labor planning and allocation
* Operating expense optimization
* Material flow design capacity
*Required Qualifications*
* *Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related technical field.*
* Experience designing and implementing material flow systems in a manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling equipment.
* Experience with PFEP methodology and material flow analysis.
* Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
* Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Pay: $37.00 - $38.00 per hour
