Donor Development Officer

Job Description Description: Missionwell, LLC is proud to partner with Global Christian Relief in the search for a Mid-Level Development Officer's (MDO). This position's primary purpose is to increase donation revenue to the organization by initiating, developing, and sustaining positive and mutually beneficial relationships with a designated group of assigned Mid-Level Donors (annual giving of between $1,500 and $10,000).The MDO will plan and implement moves management strategies in connection with the Mid-Level Donor Program to ensure:assigned donors are cultivated toward their full giving potential; andannual cultivation, solicitation, and revenue targets are met.Core Responsibilities Plan and implement moves management strategiesReach monthly, quarterly, and annual cultivation, solicitation, and revenue goalsManage account list of all donors and execute communication strategy for donor engagementEnsure strategic contact plans are in place and implemented for top-tier donorsCall and email donors for special projects (event invites, securing updated information, pledge follow up, etc.)Implement an outbound communication plan for donors, ensuring an appropriate number of planned communications per hour/day/week/month to reach target goalsResearch individual donor type, history, including donation potential and relevant social/demographic information to develop a comprehensive donor profileMaintain regular and accurate donor communication and revenue reporting in the CRMCollaborate with Mass and Major Donor programs on donor migrationIdentify potential Major Donors and planned gift prospects to the organizationLearn about GCR's work in depth, and actively stay abreast of program activity in relation to donor interests in order to provide relevant and meaningful information or arrange referrals/appointments with program experts where requiredCollaborate with team members to elevate performance and refine best practicesProfessionally represent GCR and its core values, in all forms of communicationPerform other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsUndergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceMinimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in an advancement, fundraising, or donor engagement capacity (paid or voluntary) preferredWillingness to be coached/trainedStrong professional customer service orientationSkillful communicator, able to establish relationships over the phone and via emailDemonstrated ability to stay focused and committed while cultivating 'slow to develop' relationshipsSelf-starter with the ability to work independently, setting own daily agenda of planned communicationStrong writing, time management, planning, and organizational skills, with an emphasis on detail and accuracyHigh level of personal and professional integrity, including the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding donor profiles and personal informationProficiency in Microsoft Office suite/Outlook 365, CRM systems, telephone systemsPassion for the mission of supporting persecuted ChristiansSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position will work with internal personnel and contractors but is not immediately expected to have direct reports.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a home office environment.
