Financial Controller

Must have experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) * Supervisor Responsibilities: Oversee employees responsible for financial reporting, accounting, billing, payroll, and budgeting preparation. Implements and ensures internal control policies and procedures for all financial activities. Oversees employee training programs and identifies any items of risk-concern. Duties/Responsibilities: · Working with the CFO, the Financial Controller is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the productions of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records · Ensures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards. · Responsible to maintain the Chart of Accounts for the company in an accurate and relevant matter · Collaborates with the Accounts Payable department to oversee and ensure accuracy of payments in a timely manner. · Collaborates with the Accounts Receivable department to ensure that revenue is recognized appropriately in the General Ledger. . Collaborates with external auditors to provide information needed for the annual audits · Maintains knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards. Assist CFO in training accounting staff in all functions of accounting. Assist in managing and directing the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable team. With CFO direction, demonstrate keen analytical ability in review of critical financial metrics. Support the entire financial team in assessing, managing, and minimizing risk. Analyzing complex financial data. Ability to construct complex financial models that help in evaluation of the financial performance of the business. Assist CFO in managing collections for key accounts. Assist CFO in managing internal controls. Perform other related duties as assigned. . Advanced Excel Skills Education and Experience: · Bachelor's degree in Accounting · CPA designation highly preferred · MBA preferred, not required · 10 years of work experience in the field of Accounting · Strong Knowledge of Accounting / General Ledger Systems · Financial Management experience · Preferred experience in Sage · Must have a good business sense, strong problem-solving skills · Must be able to work independently and in a team environment Job Type: Part-time Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: Edison, NJ 08817: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: GAAP: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
