Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative

Job Description We are a growing PTFE hose distributor and are seeking a full-time 100% onsite Inside Sales / Customer Service Associate to join our team! Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) answering phones and emails, quoting customers, entering/converting orders, handling expedite requests, helping customers by providing product and service information, resolving customer issues and checking inventory.Responsibilities:Answering phones and emails in a timely mannerQuoting and order conversionCreating part numbers and bill of materials (Must be willing to learn our intricate parts and part numbering system and also learn a non-standard software system Trulinx)Checking inventory in warehouse to confirm stock before processing ordersCustomer Support - Interact with customers on a daily basis to help them determine what they need to purchaseProvide information about our productsTroubleshoot and resolve product issues and concernsDocument and update customer records based on information provided by the customerDevelop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and servicesBe willing to take on additional responsibilities as neededQualifications:Previous experience in customer service or inside sales in an office setting is requiredPrevious experience in the manufacturing or distribution of PTFE or hydraulic hose industry or other related fields is preferredPunctual and reliableAbility to prioritize and multitaskPositive and professional demeanorExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong phone presenceStrong attention to detailUnderstanding of tiered pricing systems and buying groupsSelf-Starter - Quick Learner - Able to work independently with little supervisionGood with numbers, measurements, fractions, decimals (must be able to convert feet to inches and vice-versa, etc.)Desire to take on new responsibilities to learn and grow as our business growsComfortable in a fast-paced sometimes hectic environmentDeadline and detail-orientedReliable transportation is required as this position is 100% onsite with no remote opportunityThis position is 100% on site (not remote) and reliable transportation is required. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8am - 5pm (40 Hours - No Weekends). Occasional overtime is required when industry demands need to be met. One hour allotted for lunch and will be staggered with other office staff in order to provide adequate phone coverage. This position offers room to grow and we are looking for someone that is not afraid to take on more responsibility.
