Job DetailsJob Location: WICHITA, KS 67209Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Not SpecifiedJob Shift: Monday-Friday; 1st ShiftJob Category: Purchasing - ProcurementPosition SummaryResponsible for managing all processes related to the purchasing of materials, parts, supplies, and services to support production while meeting delivery requirements and quality specifications.Essential Job FunctionsCoordinate and manage all purchasing activity including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing of products and supplies.Facilitate supplier communication to ensure that product requirements and deadlines are met in addition to sourcing new suppliers to meet business requirements.Monitor lead-time, pricing, shipping and quality discrepancies and provide problem resolution as needed.Optimize production efficiency and throughput by focusing on forecasting, inventory planning, and scheduling to ensure on time deliveries by monitoring material availability, capacity levels and inventory controls.Update the MRP system for all acquired information, including pricing, volume breaks and lead times.Analyze changes in materials and supplies to find ways to reduce cost and improve quality.Effectively and continually communicate order status, delivery updates, and changes to all invested departments.Perform other duties as assigned or requested.QualificationsMinimum of three (3) years relevant experience; preferred.Previous knowledge of machine shop operations.Ability to read and understand customer/internal blueprints.Must have working knowledge and proficiencies in MS Office applications.Ability to professionally communicate within all levels of the organization.Knowledge of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) methodologies and practices.Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining attention to detail.Able to pro-actively identify issues, their root cause and countermeasure accordingly.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and decision-making ability.Able to work independently and ensure tasks are completed with little supervision.Previous experience is preferred but consideration will be given to all applicants with superior work ethic and a positive attitude.Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen to be eligible for employment.CE Machine Company, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
