The gastroenterology department features 10 beds with a manageable patient load, offering excellent opportunities for focused procedural care and patient management.Opportunity:Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - GastroenterologyJob Details:• Handle 4 patient encounters per shift in a 10-bed department• Perform upper GI endoscopy with biopsies, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeders• Conduct ERCP procedures including both diagnostic and therapeutic interventions• Perform PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures• Execute esophageal dilatation and manometry with interpretation capabilities• Conduct small bowel biopsies and lower GI endoscopy procedures• Perform flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy examinations• Conduct colonoscopy with biopsy capabilities• Perform endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) procedures• Execute liver biopsy procedures• Must be board certified in Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology• Current Texas medical license required• ACLS certification required• Credentialing timeframe approximately 14 days• Lodging available in 79911 or 79912 zip code areasCompensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.Recruiter InformationRecruiter: Barry SklarEmail: bsklar@bashealthcare.comPhone: (703) 378-0004 x210
