Dietary Aide/Server for Nursing Home

Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Dietary Aide to join our team. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting with food preparation and meal service in our skilled nursing home setting. Duties: - Assist with food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the dietary department - Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure meals are prepared accurately - Help with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing salads, and assembling trays - Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed at all times - Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment - Assist with serving meals to residents or patients - Provide friendly and efficient customer service to residents, patients, and staff - Adhere to dietary restrictions and special dietary needs of residents or patients Qualifications: - Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required - Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations - Ability to work well in a team environment - Excellent time management skills to ensure meals are prepared on time - Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in food preparation and portioning - Ability to follow instructions and work independently when necessary Please note that this position may require standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 25 pounds.
