General Assembler
General Assembler PositionA growing manufacturing company in the Austin/Georgetown area is seeking reliable General Assemblers to support production of mechanical components and finished assemblies. This role will work in a manufacturing environment and assist with assembly, cleaning, testing, and preparation of parts and materials at assigned production stations.The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working with hand tools, able to follow work instructions, and willing to work in a fast-paced production environment. 1st Shift: 7:45 -5:00 pm or 2nd Shift 4:30 p.m. -1 a.m. CSTResponsibilitiesAssembling mechanical components and finished products at assigned production stationsUsing basic hand tools and/or power tools to attach, secure, or prepare partsWorking with small parts, fittings, hoses, metal components, and related materialsCleaning and preparing components for productionAttaching springs, hoses, fittings, fasteners, and other small componentsAssisting with basic testing, inspection, and quality checksInspecting parts and finished assemblies for quality issuesFollowing written and verbal work instructionsMaintaining a clean and organized work areaFollowing all safety procedures and PPE requirementsMeeting production, quality, and attendance expectationsRequirementsPrevious manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or production experience preferredAbility to use basic hand tools and/or power toolsAbility to stand for the duration of the shiftAbility to lift, move, and handle materials as neededStrong attention to detail and qualityAbility to follow instructions and work as part of a teamReliable attendance and punctuality are requiredMust be able to wear required PPE, including safety shoesPreferred ExperienceExperience in mechanical assembly, production assembly, or light industrial manufacturingExperience working with hand tools, small parts, fittings, hoses, or metal componentsExperience in a fast-paced production environmentBasic quality inspection or testing experience is a plusWork EnvironmentThis is a manufacturing and production environment. Assemblers will work at designated stations and may be exposed to production equipment, tools, components, and standard manufacturing floor conditions. Safety procedures and PPE requirements must be followed at all times.
