Job Title: Part-time Student Engagement Ambassador Department: Office of Student EngagementSalary Range: $15.00 per hour FLSA: Non-ExemptImmediate Supervisor: Director of Student EngagementPosition SummaryEngagement Ambassadors are paid student leaders who serve as the executive team of the Student Engagement Network (SEN) and the face of the Office of Student Engagement. Ambassadors lead SEN meetings, implement events, and promote involvement across campus. As trained student employees, they assist with event logistics, student outreach, and marketing efforts to foster a connected and vibrant campus community.Schedule Details Part-time (not to exceed 19.5 hours per week).This position is held for one academic year. Engagement Ambassadors may reapply during the next hiring cycle. Rehire is not guaranteed, as this is a competitive position.Engagement Ambassadors do not work during student breaks, including Fall Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, or part of Summer Break (Ambassadors have the option to work with Recruitment over the summer as Orientation Leaders)Ambassadors return one week before the end of Winter Break and four weeks before Fall classes begin for onboarding, a team retreat, and Welcome Week supportEssential Job DutiesLead SEN Meetings: Create agendas, facilitate discussions, and guide decisions in collaboration with SEN members.Plan and Execute Events: Serve as lead coordinators for events sponsored by the Office of Student Engagement and SEN.Event Logistics: Assist with set-up, teardown, vendor communication, supply management, and on-site problem solving.Peer Engagement: Promote involvement opportunities, attend campus activities, and represent the office publicly.Social Media & Marketing: Be the face of the official Ozark Tech social channels and work with Marketing to develop student-centered content.Canvas & Communication: Maintain announcements and information on the Student Engagement Canvas page.Campus Support: Assist Ozzy mascot as needed; complete errands and supply runs related to events.Space Oversight: Help organize and maintain shared student spaces, including the club lounge.Other Duties: Support departmental priorities as assigned by the Director of Student Engagement.Required Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesCurrently enrolled Ozarks Tech studentEnthusiasm for campus life, involvement, and peer leadershipProactive mindset and positive attitudeComfortable with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Canva—or willing to learnPreferred Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesActive member of SEN or other campus engagement opportunity (e.g. club, organization, academic cohort)Previous volunteer experience with events or campus activitiesApplication InstructionsIn addition to submitting your application and resume, please follow the instructions below and upload your presentation in the “Document Uploads” section of the application.Show Us Your Strengths: Create a 3–5 slide presentation (PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Canva) that represents who you are as a leader and communicator.
