Testing Engineer Senior - Remote

Position Title: Testing Engineer Senior Core Hours (range between): 7:30am to 6pm EST The Testing Engineer Seniorhelps develop and implement a system testing approach based on user story requirements and design specifications, where results are captured on system specific test cases and Quality Assurance activities. You will help build test plans and recommend an approach to accomplish functional, system and regression testing of capabilities that are ongoing as well as newly founded and developed capabilities. You will also help provide feedback during requirements capture to ensure the solution is defined in a way that can be successfully tested. You’ll bring your experience in various types of testing, including manual, automated, and user acceptance testing to support validation of Business Intelligence Visualizations based in Microsoft Power BI. Applying automation techniques where possible, you’ll validate bug reports, provide details on discovered defects, help enforce quality assurance (QA) standards, document test results, and communicate defects to the development team and help track them to resolution. You will perform testing of Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models to ensure functionality. You will design and execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts for Power BI solutions. You will validate data transformations, calculations, and visualizations within Power BI utilizing SQL queries and Python scripts as needed. You will also develop and maintain test documentation, testing plans, cases, and reports. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia. You Have: 3+ years of experience with software testing, creation of test cases, test suites, requirement matrices, and end-to-end testing Experience with performance & scalability testing techniques Experience with MS SQL Server, Power BI, DAX and Python Knowledge of automated testing frameworks, tools, and services Ability to manage discrepancies, bugs, and fixes identified during testing and collaborate with the software development Ability to set testing schedules and provide progress or status to product owners Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or technical equivalent and 5 years of professional experience or a total of 13 years in lieu of education Nice If You Have: Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology Experience with AzureDevOps or JIRA Knowledge of office productivity tools and the use of configuration management tools for defect logging and tracking Job Type: Full-time Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: IT: 10 years (Preferred) Work Location: Remote
