Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are working with a manufacturing client in Romeoville that is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. The position will help drive and build the prototype department. This is a direct hire position that would be in office 5 days a week, when not traveling. No sponsorship is available. No B2C/C2C. Must live in the Chicagoland or area.Duties and Responsibilities:Will work with the library of Designs and Re-Design PrototypesDrive and build the prototype departmentAssist with building the parts with Product Manager and troubleshootAssist with ensuring the quality of the productsQualifications/Experience:Bachelor’s degree or Knowledge of technical design3+ years of CAD CAM Design experience Must have extensive knowledge and experience with SolidWorksIdeal candidate has metal, steel and plastics experienceAbility to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawingsCommunicate with corporate and customers when needed
