Program Finance Analyst 2
Overview
In this role you partner with internal and external customers to provide financial acumen and support for major national defense contracts. You’ll work within a cross-functional team to monitor cost and schedule performance, manage baseline and EAC processes, and enable effective program reviews. The position offers the chance to influence program financial planning in a nationally recognized R&D environment. You’ll apply EVMS principles and DoD funding knowledge to drive accurate reporting and timely invoicing.

ResponsibilitiesProvide timely metrics on cost and schedule using Earned Value or related methodsSupport baseline development, WBS/charge numbers, and changes in applicable toolsAnalyze variances to budget and support recovery plansAssess risks and opportunities to cost, schedule, and EACMaintain Project-Activity Structure and charge numbersComplete EAC processes and update time-phased estimates for planningDevelop a program-level revenue forecast and 5-year planning inputsPrepare inputs and narratives for PMRs and QBRsEnsure timely invoicing and collection of receivablesCommunicate program financial status, funding, and cancellation dispositions
Key requirementsAble to use EVMS principles in daily operationsKnowledge of DoD program financial controlsKnowledge of CAS/FAR/DFARS and federal acquisition regulationsKnowledge of contract types (FFP, FPIF, CPFF, CPIF, T&M)Knowledge of revenue recognitionStrong written and verbal communicationProficient with Microsoft software, especially ExcelExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesMulti-tasking, detail orientation, and independent work ethicBachelor's in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline; 3–5 years of related experienceclear communicationability to present complex information to managementself-starter with initiativeEarned Value Management (EVMS)DoD contract knowledgeERP systems
