TJob Title: Operations ManagerLocation: Phoenix, ArizonaReports To: Regional Operations ManagerEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition SummaryAs part of our continued nationwide expansion, we are launching and growing our Phoenix, Arizona branch and seeking a high-performing Operations Manager with a clear path toward becoming a future General Manager.This role is designed for a driven field leader who wants to grow beyond day-to-day supervision and into full branch leadership. You will lead crews while gaining exposure to estimating, job costing, workforce planning, scheduling, and branch-level performance management.The Phoenix market is fast-paced and highly competitive. We are looking for someone who can build strong crews, maintain high safety standards in extreme heat conditions, and help establish this branch as a leader in commercial roofing throughout the Valley.Key ResponsibilitiesField Leadership & ExecutionLead and supervise commercial roofing crews across the Phoenix metro area.Work hands-on with crews to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards are consistently met.Oversee installation of TPO, PVC, Tile, Shingles, modified bitumen, metal roofing systems, and coatings.Ensure projects are completed on schedule and in compliance with manufacturer and company standards.Maintain strict adherence to safety practices, particularly in high-heat working environments.Recruit, mentor, and develop crew members and foremen.Project Planning & Financial AwarenessAssist with site evaluations, scope development, pricing, and estimating of production and repair work.Support scheduling and labor planning to meet production goals.Monitor job productivity and assist in controlling labor and material costs.Participate in reviewing job cost reports and performance metrics.Safety & ComplianceEnforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times.Conduct jobsite safety meetings and inspections.Ensure proper fall protection, hydration protocols, and heat-safety practices are followed.Maintain accurate safety and compliance documentation.Materials, Equipment & Branch OperationsCoordinate material deliveries and jobsite logistics.Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.Oversee proper maintenance of company vehicles and equipment.Establish procedures to maintain clean, organized, and secure shop, yard, and storage areas to support branch growth.Leadership Development – General Manager TrackAssist with workforce planning and crew allocation.Support recruiting and onboarding of field personnel.Gain exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and branch-level operational performance.Participate in strategic planning discussions for the Phoenix market.Develop the leadership, financial, and operational skills required to transition into a General Manager role.QualificationsRequired5+ years of commercial roofing experience.Proven leadership experience as a foreman or superintendent.Strong working knowledge of commercial roofing systems.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.Strong understanding of OSHA standards and jobsite safety.Ability to work in Arizona heat conditions.Valid driver’s license.PreferredOSHA 30 certification.Manufacturer certifications (Carlisle, GAF, Firestone, Johns Manville, etc.).Experience assisting with estimating or job costing.Demonstrated interest in operational leadership and long-term career growth.Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.What We OfferClear pathway to Operations Manager advancementOpportunity to help grow and shape our Phoenix branchBacking of a large, established national commercial roofing companyCompetitive compensation based on experiencePerformance-based bonus opportunitiesHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCompany vehicle or vehicle allowanceLong-term career growth within a national organization
