Assembly Technicians

Job Description Connect Staffing is hiring an Assembly Technician for a manufacturing plant in Spartanburg, SC. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $18/hr on a day shift schedule with mandatory overtime. In this role, you will assemble trailers, install accessories on generators and compressors, and cut and prepare wiring and wire harnesses using hand tools on the production floor. This is a long-term placement with a clear path to joining the client's team directly.Pay: $18/hrSchedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM, plus mandatory overtimeLocation: Spartanburg, SCJob Type: Temp-to-HirePrimary workplace language(s): EnglishWork Environment: Manufacturing Plant / FactoryResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints and schematics to build products to specification.Secure units onto trailers using hand tools and provided hardware.Inspect finished products for quality and report defects to the quality department and plant supervisor.Maintain logs and records for production output, machine upkeep, and product discrepancies.Transport units between production, Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI), mounting, and staging areas as needed.Keep workstation and surrounding area clean and organized to company standards.Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.Preferred QualificationsExperience assembling trailers, generators, compressors, or similar mechanical equipment.Hands-on experience cutting, routing, and preparing wiring or wire harnesses.Familiarity with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, ratchets, and power drivers.Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) for production logging and documentation.Experience conducting basic quality inspections or working alongside a QA department.Prior experience in an assembly, manufacturing, or production environment.Ability to read basic blueprints and schematics.You may be a great fit if you've held any of these titles: Assembly Technician, Assembler, Production Assembler, Manufacturing Technician, Trailer Assembler, Wiring Technician, Electrical Assembler, Mechanical Assembler, General Assembly Worker, Production Technician.Pre-Employment RequirementsDrug screen required.Background check required.E-Verify / work authorization required.Must communicate effectively in English.Ability to work at a fast pace throughout the shift.Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.Ability to differentiate between colored wires and components.Ability to adapt to varying temperature conditions in the work environment.Steel toe boots required (employee-provided); gloves and safety glasses provided or required on the floor.BenefitsWeekly pay.Direct deposit / Paycard.Health and dental benefits available.Earn referral bonuses.After you apply, please check your email for a short screening questionnaire from us.
