Cardiac Sonographer (Echo) – Inpatient

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer (Echo) to join a premier cardiac program at a leading hospital in Morristown, NJ . This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-acuity inpatient setting performing advanced echocardiography studies using state-of-the-art technology. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in adult echocardiography , including Doppler and valvular assessment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to recognize and respond to critical findings. Perform high-quality adult echocardiography (Echo) studies in accordance with ASE and IAC guidelines Prepare patients for procedures by explaining exams, ensuring comfort, and reducing pre-test anxiety Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain accurate, complete diagnostic images Review prior imaging, reports, and patient history to ensure appropriate exam execution Perform Doppler and valvular assessments with strong technical accuracy Assist with and perform contrast echocardiography and agitated saline (bubble) studies Recognize abnormal findings and respond appropriately in high-acuity situations Work independently in an inpatient setting while maintaining high clinical standards Ensure all studies are complete, accurate, and properly documented for physician interpretation Communicate effectively with physicians and care teams regarding urgent or critical findings Maintain equipment, supplies, and inventory for assigned imaging area Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols Support a collaborative team environment and perform additional duties as needed
