Our client a leader in the Safety and Consulting Industry is looking to hire a Senior Director, Workforce & Rescue solutions. This role is newly vacated.Our client is seeking someone with experience with third-party safety services to Fortune 500s, crown corps and GCs. The Senior Director will lead a team of ~30-60 safety professionals that work through several different client projects.Our clients hire us to provide safety officer personnel for the duration of the construction project, confined space rescue technicians, site safety inspections, and fire watch to oversee our client's protocols and procedures on construction sites (for industrial, infrastructure, hydro, logistics, and some commercial real estate) to ensure the well-being of all workers and compliance with safety regulations.Identifying new clients and projectsConnect with professional networkMaintain a list of industry contactsMake regular contact with networkTake contacts to lunch/dinner on regular basis to maintain rapportAsk about upcoming projectsAsk about competitors activitiesSearch on bid portalsLog onto bidding sites on a bi-weekly basisFilter projectsCommunicate with existing client contacts to understand upcoming projectsCall client contacts on a quarterly basisAttend trade showsIdentify trade showsAcquire marketing materialsInteract with trade show prospectsRecord and follow up with leadsLead the scheduling personnel across projectsUnderstand all project personnel requirementsMonitor vacation requestsCreate and update schedule spreadsheetMove employees among projectsSend resumes to client to get sign off before personnel go on siteLead the Audit and quality of work from our employeesOverseeing quality of safety servicesAttend job sitesUnderstand project specific safety issues across industries and servicesCall employees to ask about actions being taken on siteSetting up new jobs to meet client needsSpeak to project manager to understand the scopeIdentify the people in charge on each projectWalk employees through what is happening on site either in person or via phoneIdentify and communicate special circumstances, policies and preferences for each clientManaging and coaching junior employeesConnect with junior employees on a regular basis to touch baseConnect with employees bi-weeklySpeak positively about the career prospects at the firm and room for growthRecommend training and new learning opportunities when employees are capableTake employees to lunch to develop culture and rapportReprimand and discipline employeesGo-to contact for employee questions on safety/client requestsRecommend specific actions when ambiguity existsDetermine if we can meet client requestsUnderstanding the scope of our services and the capabilities of our roster to accept or decline unique requestsManage Personnel changes on existing sites (move, fire, replace)Monitor employee performanceSpeak to project manager on active job sites to ask how employee is doingSpeak to other employees on the project to seek feedbackAttend site and check quality and determine if employee is meeting expectationsAre forms filled correctlyIs equipment set up properlyIs job board correctIs PPE being wornAnticipate if pipeline of work require employees be moved across sitesDeal with 911 calls and issues (Principal 1)Answer the phone at all times 24/7 and handle issues regardless of personal commitmentsRequirementsDegree or Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field10+ years of proven experience as a Construction Safety Manager or a similar role in industrial, infrastructure, hydro, logistics, and commercial real estate projectsCRSP, NCSO or equivalent a strong assetAbility to deal with several stakeholders, including clients, GCs, subtrades, MOL inspectors etcThird party construction safety experience a valuable assetIn-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.Strong leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.$120,000 - $150,000 a yearAIP Connect believes in equal opportunity.
