Collections CSR
Hours: M - F, 9:30 AM - 6 PM; rotating Saturdays 8 AM - 1 PMFSNB collectors are expected to be familiar with all bank procedures and policies. Our collectors should be able to communicate and negotiate with our customers in a professional, pleasant and proficient manner by following procedures that are set in place.As a collector, you must be able to perform all duties pertaining to collections. These duties include: Answer in-coming phone calls for Collections and Customer Service. Make out-going phone calls for collection accounts. Be knowledgeable of the different types of accounts and products and services we offer. Act as a budget counselor for our customers. Maintain and monitor accounts for payments/deposits/working initials. Process payments for all types of accounts. Initiate investigation methods to assist in explanation of why an account is overdrawn or past due and to locate a customer. Work accurately, thoroughly and placing messages in AS400 and Synapsys within a timely manner. Know how to handle the basics of all legal accounts if you are not assigned to work those accounts. (Such as, Small Claims, Bankruptcy’s and Repossessions) Have a basic knowledge of all resources pertaining to our duties. (Such as, Word, Excel, Synapsys, AS400, Access, etc.) Meet acceptable standards for attendance, punctuality, and break times. Be ready to take phone calls and assist customer at your scheduled start time. Two 15-minute scheduled breaks; additional 20 minutes of small breaks Be cooperative with co-workers and supervisors. Help promote a positive, safe, and harassment-free environment. Be familiar with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Collection Law. Follow all bank and department procedures. Make good decisions that will reflect well on yourself and FSNB. Complete any duties that are assigned to you. Above all else – Assist the customer. Must be able to sit for long periods of time, have hand dexterity, and lift up to 10 pounds.
