We specialize in tree inspections, inventories, permitting, and on-site arborist oversight for major infrastructure and construction projects.We are seeking motivated, detail-oriented professionals who enjoy working outdoors and want to grow in the field of urban forestry and arboriculture.Role DescriptionThis role is ideal for experienced professionals with a background in arboriculture, forestry, horticulture, environmental studies, or related disciplines. The Arborist Consultant will be responsible for field inspections, reporting, client coordination, and oversight of tree-related activities on active project sites.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct tree inspections and develop detailed tree inventoriesEvaluate tree conditions and recommend appropriate actionsPrepare and submit professional arborist and inspection reportsCoordinate and oversee field activities, including contractor crewsProvide on-site oversight for sidewalk excavation near treesApply for and secure forestry permits with NYC Parks & RecreationPerform site audits and ensure compliance with project requirementsServe as a liaison with NYC Parks for permits, inspections, and correspondenceMaintain strong client relationships and professional communicationSupport additional project needs and responsibilities as assignedQualificationsAssociate’s degree or higher in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Forestry, or a related field (or equivalent field experience in line clearance or arboriculture)ISA Certification (Required)Valid driver’s license with a clean driving recordAbility to travel to job sites across NYCProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasksCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceMonthly car allowanceHealth, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance401(k) with employer matchingPaid Time Off and company holidaysParental leaveTuition reimbursement & continuing education supportWhy Join Us?At EC Consulting NY, you’ll work on impactful projects across New York City, gain hands-on field experience, and grow within a supportive, fast-paced, and professional environment.Equal Opportunity EmployerEnvironmental Conservation Consulting NY, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
