Requires 2 years of experience in the following:Management experience with technical teams, or experience as a technical lead or project managerBuilding products including front end technologies or backend systemsCoding skills in one of the following: C++, Java, JavaScript, or PHPUnix or LinuxLarge-scale internet service architectures (load balancing, lamp, or con's)Designing and developing distributed systems, storage systems, or cache and data distribution infrastructureScaling high performance, high throughput systemsTroubleshooting and diagnosing problems in large-scale systemsCoordinating large-scale, cross-functional efforts that span different teamsDeveloping and managing requirements, and making data-driven decisionsLeading strategic implementation and planning for risk and growthResponsibilitiesManage engineers working with the engineering teams to build products and/or infrastructure required to support the products at scale.Make sure that the technology stack handles the needs of the product and is flexible enough to scale as requirements change and usage increases.Understand technical architectures, tooling needs, automation plans, product launch plans, and other issues and create comprehensive plans for prioritizing technical and resourcing challenges.Communicate cross-functionality and provide constructive feedback into how the products are designed and help craft solutions to difficult user experience and system integrations problems.Hold technical discussions within organization and have strategic influence.Mentor engineers on team; recruit and hire engineers.Play a critical role in helping to set the goals and direction for team.About MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
