Full Job Description We are looking for an Individual who will Multi-Task as a Safety Director, Compliance Director and also assist with Recruitment of new Hires at Snow Entities located in Hurley, WI. Snow Entities consists of 5 separate entities located in the Hurley Industrial Park pertaining to the Hardwood Lumber Industry. Our facilities include a Sawmill, Dry Kiln Facility, Hardwood Flooring Plant, Harwood Pellet Facility and Trucking company. Our ideal candidate is driven, motivated, capable of working independently with little direction, but can also work in a group setting, personable with a strong sense of leadership and management. This role requires a passion to serve others and will support the day-to-day Compliance, Safety Training, Permitting and recruitment. We are seeking a driven individual who has a proven track record of seeking, hiring, and training employees. Ideal candidate is seeking long-term employment with a company that values their employees like family. Job Outline: Directing safety training of all new hires and annual safety trainings Support internal training initiatives including the facilitation of new employee orientations Ensure Safety processes are in compliance with all regulations and laws File any needed workers compensation claims Ensure work areas and equipment are up to date with satiety standard's by conducting regular walk throughs of facilities and reporting to managers of any safety concerns Annual reporting, permitting and compliance. Examples: OSHA 300 Logs and Air Permitting for our Boiler, etc. Conduct and screen potential new hires and setup interviews for facility managers Development of an employee referral program Explore housing options if new employees need assistance ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR THIS ROLE INCLUDE: Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Microsoft Office , Outlook and Excel capability Work as a member of a team Time management skills Document management Uphold confidentiality of sensitive information High attention to detail.
