divh2SFS Representative/h2pNew Rochelle - New Rochelle, NY 10801/ph3Overview/h3pSalary Range $20.00 - $22.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level 2 Year Degree Travel Percentage No Travel Required/ph3Description/h3pIona University seeks an SFS Representative who will, under the direction of the Associate Director of Student Financial Services:/pulliGreet and assist students, parents, and visitors to the SFS office, addressing inquiries related to registration, billing, payments, and Financial Aid. Provide front-line support while assisting the SFS team with day-to-day operations./liliProcess cash/check payments and accurately post them to student accounts. This involves determining the amount owed by first analyzing the student account./liliIdentifies payment types, including external scholarships, and collaborates with Financial Aid Counselors to ensure proper awarding and posting./liliPerforms daily reconciliation to ensure all payments are accurately recorded./liliRespond to general student account and financial aid inquiries by retrieving information from various government and other financial institution websites. Help students navigate various websites as they apply for loans and grants, sign up for payment plans or complete entrance or exit interviews etc. Counsel students on account balances and payment options./liliAddress flow of students to the appropriate SFS personnel./liliRespond to call center referrals/logs, as assigned./liliManage the SFS mailbox and respond to emails daily./liliMaintain the online appointment system./liliManage inventory of supplies and order when needed./liliHandle all invoices/check requests and load them to AvidXchange system for payment./liliAssist with outreach projects, mailings, office filing and special projects./liliParticipate in recruitment and retention functions (new student orientations, registration nights, accepted student days, open house, move-in day etc.) This includes weekend and evening events./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3pRequired Experience/pulliAssociates degree required; bachelors degree preferred/liliOne to two years customer service experience, preferably in a higher education environment/liliFriendly and helpful attitude/liliAbility to work with a diverse group of students and parents/liliAbility to work independently and with a team/liliStrong attention to detail/liliComfortable working with numbers and numerical data/liliKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook/lipVisa sponsorship is not available for this position./ppAbout Iona/EEO Statement:/ppFounded in 1940, Iona University is a private, Catholic, coeducational institution of learning in the tradition of the Edmund Rice Christian Brothers.
