The Warehouse Lead is responsible for all administrative duties, printing packing lists, printing orders, checking order accuracy, and communicating with management and customer service team regarding outbound orders. This position is responsible for communicating open and candidly throughout the organization. This position also oversees the continual development for staff and self-development. Distribute, organize workloads, and set goals for performance and deadlines in a way that comply with the company's plans and vision while promoting Safety. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.Shift: 7am-4:30pmPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:WAREHOUSE OPERATIONSManage and organize all the daily activities of the Warehouse Staff.Analyze inventory issues and research discrepanciesReport slow moving, close coded, and out of code product to warehouse managerDistribute signed BOLs from all outbound ordersEnsure all outbound orders are checked for 100% accuracyPrint and distribute outbound orders. Audit orders prior to notifying customer service.Audit all transfer paperwork for accuracyManage efficient product rotation using FEFO and FIFO methods while maintain proper lot codesAssist the Inventory Manager with Daily Cycle Counting to maintain a 99% or better inventory accuracy rateTrain Warehouse Staff on job duties, company procedures and policies while promoting safetyDevelop staff through continuous improvement training and motivationEnsure warehouse facility is in accordance with JZC facility standardTRANSFER PRODUCT BETWEEN FACILITIESManage and organize all the daily transfers between facilitiesWorking in conjunction with the Production Department and John Zidian Company Warehouse Team, manage the efficient overall flow of raw material and finished goods between company owned facilities to maintain timely movement of productAudit all transfer paperwork for accuracy and timeliness to maintain an inventory accuracy rate of 99% or better.Supervise the loading and unloading of trucksSet and maintain productivity levels for staffDevelop staff through continuous improvement training and motivationRespond to customers both external and internal by communicating in person, email, fax and / or telephone and pack orders for 100% on time deliveryWAREHOUSE SANITATIONAlways maintain good housekeeping practiceAssign daily/weekly tasks to maintain cleanliness in warehouse/office areas.Responsible for working safely 100% of the time.Responsible for being educated and knowledgeable in safety rules and regulations; manage, educate and promote safety for all employees in their dutiesALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNEDRequirements Necessary to Perform This Job Function: (Educational & Physical)EQUIPMENT CERTIFICATION:ForkliftReach TruckElectric and manual jacksProficient in Electronic Computer use to include proficiency in Microsoft Suite Software to include Excel Spreadsheets; knowledge of Great Plains Software would be helpful; comprehension and ability to utilize warehousing scanning equipment and software packagesEDUCATION:BS or BA Degree in Business Management and/or minimum of 2 years' experienceSupervision experienceAbility to develop personnel and equipment structures to support present and future operations.Ability to communicate well orally and in writingPHYSICAL ABILITIES NECESSARY TO PERFORM JOB:Must be in good physical shape with high stamina and dexterityAble to lift 50 lbs. plus (+)Ability to climb various types of laddersGood hand dexterity with both handsAbility to stand for long periods of timeAble to bend and stoop easilyExcellent eyesight with very good peripheral visionAble to work long hours when necessary; work overtime as neededAble to withstand extreme warehouse and outside temperatures of cold or hotThis job description is not intended to contain a comprehensive list of the responsibilities that are required to successfully perform in this position.
